Everest Base Camp Trek

Overview

This is one of the most popular trekking regions in Nepal. The region has not only the highest mountain in the world but has a rich cultural heritage & picturesque natural scenery. Three of the worlds highest peaks dominate the skyline and the trek enhance rich feast of culture and people amid the world's most stunning views of the Himalayas. You'll visit the Everest Base camp and get a chance to explore Kathmandu. There's also a range of diverse treks, taking in places like Namche Bazaar, Phakding, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Khumjung, Monjo, and Lukla.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu.

If Sky is clear, prior to landing to Tribhuvan Int’l airport you will be greeted with heavenly snow-capped mountains. After customs clearance, you will be welcomed by our tour coordinator and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Prepare for Trekking in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla and Walk to Phakding (4hrs, Alt: 2640m).

After breakfast drive to the domestic airport to connect the fly to Lukla (trekking starting point), it takes about 40 minutes flight journey from Kathmandu. Arrive at Lukla 2850 meter, commence trek through an exotic village to join the main trail from Chauri Kharka in about one hour. The trail follows the east bank of the river Dudha Koshi (River of Milk), on the way you can enjoy with beautiful terrace field, typical slate-roofed houses, souvenirs shops, and views of Kusum Kangaru West Peak (5579 meters), continue to trek and reach Phakding. Stay at the lodge; Phakding 2640 meter. The journey will take about 03-04 hours.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (7hrs, Alt:3440m).

Trek to Namche Bazaar 3440 meter, it takes about 06-07 hours walking from Phakding. The trail continues to climb up along with the west bank of the river until the village of Benkar is reached. On the way, you can enjoy with beautiful valley and Thamserku Mountain (6623 meters), cross the bridge and now trail enters Sagarmatha National park at the village of Jorsale. From Jorsale the trail continue follows the east bank of Dudh Koshi to the foothill below Namche begins. Cross the suspension bridge, the first section is a steep ascent and from halfway climbed up, the views of Mount Everest attracted and continue to walk through conifer forest with sightseeing wonderful views of Rolwaling Himal and reach Namche Bazaar, the village is the administrative center of the northern region of Solukhumbu district. Stay at the lodge; Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Acclimatize for the Trek at Namche Bazaar.

Spend a day in beautiful Namche Bazaar and experience local culture with the warmth of local people. Majority of Namche Bazaar population are Sherpas, who are known for their bravery, unique culture, and warm hospitality.

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (7hrs, Alt: 3967 m).

Trek to Tengboche (3967 m), it takes about 06-07 hours walking from Namche Bazaar. The first part of the trail follows descends about 250 meters down to the Dudha Koshi bank and it climbs up about 670 meters to reach Tengboche, on the way you can enjoy with magnificent views of Thamserku, Kantega (6799 m), Ama Dablam (6812 m) Lhotse, Mount Everest, and beautiful valley. Stay at the lodge; Tengboche. The village is famous for it's the largest Monastery and viewing spot.

Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (Alt: 4275).

Breakfast at lodge, then trek to Dingboche (4275m); through unique terrain which surrounded by rhododendrons forest, reach at tiny Debouche village, crosses Imja Khola (River) ,then climbs past superb mani stones to Pangboche village ( 3860 m), en-route visit Pangboche monastery ( Yeti scalp) , then trails climb to Dingboche. It provides stunning views of Himalayan ranges beautiful landscape. Stay at the lodge; Dingboche.

Day 08: Rest at Dingboche.

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche (Alt: 4930m).

After breakfast, commence trek to Lobuche 4930m through Yak Pasture, the path meets the left side of Perruche, then cross the stream flowing from the Khumbu Glacier and reached Thukla where we will take lunch break for an hours, then trail begins steep ascent about 250 meters from here, then passing ablation valley and reaches Lobuche village. It provides magnificent views of snowy mountains and beautiful landscape. Stay at the lodge; Lobuche.

Day 10: Trek to Gorak Shep(Alt: 5160 m).

Breakfast at lodge, then trek to GorakShep(5160 m); through rocky meadows, glacier and reaches at Gorakshep village, after lunch continue to trek to Everest base camp 5560 meter and return back to Gorakshep for overnight.

Day 11: Trek to Kalapathar (Alt: 5545m).

Early morning hike to Kalapathar 5545 meter (Dark brown hill), from the summit, provides excellent views of Mt. Everest and silvery Himalayan ranges, then return to Gorakshep. After breakfast trek descends to Pheriche (4240 m) Stay at Lodge; Pheriche.

Day 12: Trek to Khumjung (Alt: 3700m).

Trek to Khumjung 3700 meter, this is one of the magnificent village of the Khumbu region. There is great chance to explore Yeti skull at Khumjung Monastery, visit School which it has built in the cooperation by Sir Edmund Hillary, Also possible to visit Kunde hospital and you can enjoy with stunning views of snowy mountains. Stay at Lodge; Khumjung.

Day 13: Trek to Phakding (Alt: 2640m).

Trek descends to Manjo/ Phakding 2640m. Stay at the lodge.

Day 14: Trek to Lukla (Alt: 2850).

Trek climbs to Lukla 2850 meter. Stay at Lodge in Lukla.

Day 15: Fly Back to Kathmandu.

Early morning fly to Kathmandu, then transfer to hotel.

Day 16: Leisure in Kathmandu.

Day 17: Farewell.
