Manaslu Circuit Trek

Overview

Manaslu ( 8163 m); the world’s eighth highest peak is situated between Budhi Gandaki and Marsyangdi River valley. It begins from Arughat and crosses over the Larkya La Pass ( 5135 m), the highest point of the trekking course, and descends down to Marsyangdi valley. It offers stunning views of Himalayan ranges including Peak 29 ( 787 m); Himchuli ( 7893 m); exotic villages; diverse culture; Buddhist monasteries and beautiful scenery.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu.

If Sky is clear, prior to landing to Tribhuvan Int’l airport you will be greeted with heavenly snow capped mountains. After customs clearance you will be welcomed by our tour coordinator and transferred to hotel.

Day 02: Preparations at Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive to Arughat.

Early morning scenic drive from Kathmandu to Arughat. Enroute it provides beautiful scenery; amazing views of Himalayan ranges and the exotic Bhudi Gandaki valley. Stay at tea house in Arughat.

Day 04: Trek to Khorsand Hara (Alt: 900m).

After breakfast trek ascends through beautiful alpine meadows; the trail ascends and descends from the Soti Khola and reaches Khorsand Hara ( 900 m) Stay at tea house.

Day 05: Trek to Machha Khola (Alt: 1350m).

After breakfast commence trek through beautiful rocky meadows with Budhi Gandaki valley; trail ascends and descends and reaches at Maccha Khola / Tatopani ( hot spring) (1350 m).Stay at tea house; Machha Khola.

Day 06: Trek to Dovan Village.

Early morning commence trek through stone steps to the wide river shores; cross the suspension and wooden bridge; passing ghats and reach at Dovan village (influenced by Tibetan culture). Stay at tea house; Dovan.

Day 07: Trek to Philim (Alt: 1590m).

After breakfast trek climbs up; through beautiful valley where you can enjoy views of Himalayan ranges and reaches Philim (1590m). Stay at tea house; Phillim.

Day 08: Trek to Den (Alt: 1800m).

Trek climbs through rocky path and forest; crosses Chuling Khola (river) and reaches at Den (1800m); the village influenced by Tibetan culture. Stay at tea house; Den.

Day 09: Trek to Namru (Alt: 2900m).

Trek ascends through rocky terrain; beautiful Ghap village; cross Tom Khola (river) which flows into Budhi Gandaki (river); the path provides outstanding views of Himalayan ranges and reaches Namru (2900m). Stay at tea house; Namru.

Day 10: Trek to Lho.

Commence trek through Begsam village; then the trail ascends via Kani and Li villages with wheat terrace and visit Sho village that provides incredible views of Manaslu north ( 7157 m; Naike Peak and reaches at Lho ( 3150 m); It gives magnificent views of Ganesh Himal ( 7429 m) and beaufiful farm terrace. Stay at tea house in Lho.

Day 11: Trek to SamaGaon (Alt: 3390 m).

Commence trek through rocky meadows; passing Honsho Gompa; Potato farm; chortens (Buddhist stone stacks) and Sama Gompa and reaches another beautiful world; Manaslu. Stay at tea house; SamaGaon (3390 m). It provides stunning views of Manaslu North ( 7157 m); Manaslu ( 8163 m) and Peak 29 (7871).

Day 12: Acclimatization at Samagaon.

Day 13: Trek to Samdo (Alt: 3900m).

Commence trek through rocky meadows; trail descends to shore of Budhi Gandaki river; cross bridge and enter into Manaslu Glacier. From the Kermo Kharka provides outstanding views of Manaslu ( 8163 m); the valley becomes narrow and path traverses up and down to river shore; cross the wooden bridge and climb up the steep slope to the terraces and reach at Samdo (3900m). Stay at tea house; Samdo.

Day 14: Trek to Dharamsala (Alt: 4450 m).

Commence trek through alpine pasture; cross the wooden bridge of Budhi Gandaki river and enter into Larkya Bazaar; you will see wonderful views of Larkya Glacier and Manaslu mountain before reaching Dharmsala ( 4450 m); the high camp of Larkya La Pass. Stay at tea house Dharamsala.

Day 15: Trek to Larkya La Pass (Alt: 5135 m).

Early morning trek climb up through Dharamsala to Cho Danda and reach the top of Larkya La Pass ( 5135m). The summit provides stunning views of Cheo Himal ( 6820m); Lamjung Himal ( 7140m); Gya Ji kang ( 7038 m); Kang Guru ( 6981 m). The trail descends from Larkya La pass to Bhimphedi ( 3750m).

Day 16: Trek to Tilje Village (Alt: 2785m).

Commence trek through moraine and trail descends to Dudh khola shore; cross the bridge and climb the path that provides stunning views of Phungi ( 6398 m); Manaslu North ( 7157 m); Manaslu ( 8163 m); Cheo Himal ( 6820 m) and Himlung Himal ( 7126 m). From Go; trail in rhododendron forest on the right bank of Dudha Khola with gentle ascends and descends to Tilje village. Stay at tea house; Tilje ( 2785 m).

Day 17: Trek to Dharapani (Alt: 1860m).

Commence trek through stone path and pass Thonje; cross the Marsyangdi River and reach Dharapani (1860m); the section leading to Annapurna circuit. Stay at lodge ; Dharapani.

Day 18: Trek to Benisagar and Drive Back to Kathmandu.

After breakfast drive with local jeep from Dharapani to Benisagar and then drive with bus or private vehicle to Kathmandu and check into hotel.

Day 19: Leisure at Kathmandu.

Day 20: Farewell.

You will be leaving with memory of adventurous journey of the life time. We’ll make sure to turn the days to your most memorable moments of life.
