Helambu & Gosainkunda Trek
Helambu and Gosainkunda; this is a very beautiful short trek in Nepal with many attractions. You can enjoy with delightful Helambu valley; diverse culture; lifestyles of inhabitant; holy Gosaikunda Lake which is said to be created by Lord Shiva and stunning views of Himalayan ranges including Ganesh Himal ( 7429 m); Langtang Lirung ( 7225 m); Dorje-Lakpa and Shishapangma ( 8027 m). The trek begins through beautiful SundariJal valley and cross Laurebina Pass ( 4610m); reach Gosaikunda Lake and descends to Dhunche and scenic drive back to Kathmandu.
Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu.
If Sky is clear, prior to landing to Tribhuvan Int’l airport you will be greeted with heavenly snow capped mountains. After customs clearance you will be welcomed by our tour coordinator and transferred to hotel.
Day 02: Preparations at Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive to SundariJal and trek to Chisapani(Alt: 1395m).
After breakfast scenic drive to SundariJal; literally means the Pure coldest water of river in Kathmandu. In the river bank situated a famous Sundari Mai Temple; the goddess of beauty; this is a very popular natural heritage site for visitors. In the month of Shrawan; Hindus devotees walk barefoot; from Pashupatinath Temple to Sundari Mai Temple for taking pure water and returning back to Pashupatinath for worship water to Lord Shiva. Trek climbs up the stone stair through a tiny mulkharka village and beautiful Shivapuri National Park with rhododendron; oak and Pine forest and reach at Burlang Bhanjyang 2450m then trail descends to Chisapani; the cold water 1395m. Stay at lodge.
Day 04: Trek from Chisapani to Kutumsang (Alt: 2460m).
After breakfast; trek commences through an exotic and delightful Helambu valley; the valley drives the name of Hyolmo; it is a famous sweet apple and Buddhist cultural. Kutumsang; a tiny village situated 2460m. Stay at lodge.
Day 05:Trek from Kutumsang to Tharepati(Alt: 3690m).
After breakfast trek climbs up; through a beautiful highland terrain to Tharepati 3690m. It provides amazing views of Himalayan ranges; experience of exotic Sherpa and Tamang villages and Buddhist culture. Stay at lodge.
Day 06: Trek from Tharepati to Ghopte (Alt: 3450m).
After breakfast trek commences through a beautiful valley and rhododendron forest to Ghopte (3450m). It offers beautiful scenery and amazing views of snowy mountains. Stay at lodge.
Day 07: Trek from Ghopte to Gosaikunda Lake (4380 m).
Early morning trek commences through rocky terrain and crosses Laurebina Pass (4610m) and reach at Gosaikunda; a famous lake for Hindus and Buddhist devotees. It offers stunning views of Himalayan ranges; beautiful of holy Lakes including Surya Kund; Gosainkunda (4380 m); the source of Trisuli River; Bhairab Kunda and Saraswati Kunda. Stay at lodge.
Day 08: Trek from Gosainkunda Lake to Shing-Gompa.
After breakfast trek descends to Shing-Gomba; passing through narrow cliff’ Bhairab Kunda and Saraswati Kunda and enjoy with stunning views of silvery mountains ranges including Manaslu ( 8163 m); Langtang Lirung (7225m); Ganesh Himal (7429 m).
Day 09: Trek from Sing-Gompa to Dhunche (Alt: 2040m).
Trek descends to Dhunche (2040m); through a beautiful valley; agriculture terrace and forest. Stay at lodge.
Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu.
Early morning scenic drive to Kathmandu. Check into hotel.
Day 11: Leisure at Kathmandu.
Day 12: Farewell.
