Central Tibet Cultural Tour
Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu.
Prior to landing in the Tribhuvan International Airport, you could have some excellent views of snowy mountains, after customs clearance you will meet with our tour coordinator at arrival complex and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Ancient City of Kathmandu.
After breakfast, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the seat of Malla Kings and Shah dynasty, Kumari Ghar, the residence of living Goddess. The area covered with full of monuments and shrines. Swayambhunath situated in the beautiful lush Kathmandu hills and drive back to the hotel.
Day 03: Fly From Kathmandu to Lhasa.
Early morning flies over panoramic Himalayan ranges from Kathmandu to the holy city of Lhasa and it takes about 55 minutes to reach in Gongar Airport. Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport. Drive 110 km to Tsedang (3550 m) and check into the hotel.
Day 04: Sightseeing in Tsedang.
Full day exploration of Samye Monastery, the 1st Buddhist Monastery, Yambulakhang Palace and Tombs of Tibet Kings. Stay at a hotel in Tsedang.
Day 05: Drive 330 km to Shigatse (Alt: 3900m).
After breakfast scenic drives to Shigatse via Yarlung Tsangpo Gorge and checks into the hotel.
Day 06: Drive 90 km to Gyantse (Alt: 3950m).
Visit famous Tashilumpo Monastery, the seat of Panchen Lama. In the afternoon drive, 90 km to Gyantse on the way visit Shalu Temple. Check into hotel.
Day 07: Drive 280 km to Lhasa (Alt: 3650 m).
After sightseeing in Palkhor Monastery and Kumbum Stupa and drive to the holy Lhasa city via Karola Pass (5015m), Yamdrok Lake and Kambala Pass ( 4794 m). Check into hotel.
Day 08-09: Sightseeing in the holy Lhasa city.
Two full day sightseeing in Lhasa including Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Market, Drepung, and Sera Monasteries. Stay at a hotel in Lhasa.
Day 10: Fly From Lhasa to Kathmandu.
Early morning transfer from hotel to Gongar Airport to fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 11: Sightseeing in Kathmandu.
After breakfast, drive to Patan, the city beauty and art, then visit Pashupatinath, a famous Temple for Hindus devotees and Boudhanath, probably the largest stupa of South Asia and very famous for Buddhist devotees. Drive back to the hotel.
Day 12: Farewell.
You will be leaving with the memory of adventurous journey of the lifetime. We’ll make sure to turn the days to your most memorable moments of life.
